words that best describe my style: it cant be described. its that amazing.

biggest fashion purchase ever made: i dont know, man. i dont usually spend too much on stuff...because i can find awesome things for cheap at thrift stores and such.

item in my closet I've never worn: some awesome vintage black rain boots with faux fur lining.

piece of clothing I've kept forever: i wore a betsey johnson dress when i was the flower girl in my sister's wedding when i was 11 yrs old... its now a shirt.

ideal first date underwear: something sexy but playful. not black lace. its too serious.

item to lust for this season: im just really happy that the art in fashion has come back. we seem to forget that it is an art form, and its nice to be reminded of that by the creativity making its way back onto the runways right now.

items I purchase in bulk: bobby pins. theyre rarely seen, but theyre essential.

to hide any figure flaws, I prefer wearing: Empire waisted dresses are amazing for me, because i have a little belly. But if you dont have the right figure for them, they can make you look pregnant.

the best designer in my opinion is: marc jacobs. look at H&M...theyre copying everything marc jacobs ever sends down the runway.

piece of clothing that I will never wear/buy: the traditional UGGS. I own a pair because my mom gave them to me....but i hope their last days are soon. they have been around for WAY too long.

trends/looks that my significant other hates seeing me in: my zebra-striped spandex pants!!! (he's learning to love them though)

piece of clothing I tossed out, but wish I hadn't: a pair of vintage ferragamos that i bought on a road trip in a small town near la.

best designer for my body type: seven jeans are apparently SOOO out, but they make me look SOOO good, so im sticking with them.

my top 5 secret local shopping spots: CHINATOWN BOUTIQUES!! holy moly, they fly in some AWESOME stuff from asia that is ONE OF A KIND. i went on a total shopping spree there today.

other fashion websites I love (besides brandhabit): ebay

spring beauty tips---from a young lady who knows....

here are a few beauty tips ive learned in my long 21 (almost 22!) years of living. I know, why trust a "young adult?" The answer:because I know all.

1) If you have bruises on your legs like we all get from a little to much wild dancing, or possibly the wrong yoga move, I have the solution! 1st, massage arnica gel into it as much as possible...you can get it at any health food or herbal store. It gets rid of the bruises faster than normal. Its for real. And we all know with spring coming up, we dont want ugly legs peeking out through under our skirts.
If you dont have enough time to do that, and you have something to go to, like, right now, sally hansen came out with this spray that is meant to act like pantyhose, but that is just gross. If you want to wear pantyhose, wear them. HOWEVER! this spray is incredible for giving your legs or any other body part a quick cover up and for reducing flaws. (even bikini burn) Just spray a little on, wait or it to dry, and then pat it until it blends. Basically, its like concealer for your body. Did I mention you can get it at Wallgreens for only about eight bucks. INCREDIBLE!

And speaking of razor burn on our bikini area, I have another little trick of the trade: deoderant. Solid deoderant to be exact. (I like secret.) After you shower and shave, dry off and then put it on down there like you would your armpits. Its perfect for bikini season coming soon. Think about it...our pits dont get too many razor bumps, now do they? It makes sense. You dont have to thank me.

Last but not least, springtime is known for the little birdies getting together which by little birdies, i mean you singles. This means a lot of first dates, a lot of first sleepovers, and a lot of walks of shame home. To avoid that, if youre going out, make sure to carry a pair of sunglasses in your purse, just in case. TRUST ME, there have been many times when I have been SOOOOO thankful I did that. But what happens when you wake up in the morning and you definately dont look like the woman that the man still sleeping in bed had met the night before? Well, a big thing that helps is mascara. Use the restroom, and get the residue from the night before off. Guys usually have lubriderm, so that works on a tissue as eye makeup remover. Then, assuming mascara was forgotten as a nightly essential, lipgloss works! Dab it on your fingers and pinch your fingers over your lashes. They will look longer, you will look fresh, and no one will know you went out the night before except for your consience.

Enjoy ladies!
