Billion Dollar Babes Finds - 07/01/08 13:07 PM

I love Black Halo, their clothes have a great cut. I just went to the sample sale in LA. No jackie-o dress or all those other designs seen on celebs lately but I did score great tops/dresses for $10-20.

Re: Has all of the media attention on eco-friendly fashion influenced your fashion choices? - 05/06/08 00:05 AM

I have to say when it comes to the "green trend" i'm a lot more focused on beauty products. I feel like the chemicals used in cosmetics are a more imminent danger. I have few qualms about gmo cotton in my t-shirts but am definately more concerned about carcinogens in the makeup i put on my skin every single day. As for clothing, the green trend has not really impacted my choices.

Re: Would you rent a designer cocktail dress? - 04/04/08 19:04 PM

I would probably prefer buying one but if I really fell in love with a dress i'd rent it for sure. I'd be pretty nervous about any snags and stuff though so it could get kind of complicated when renting dresses with delicate fabrics or detailing. The cost of renting a dress...I not pay anymore than a $100 but of course it depends on the original cost season of the dress.

Re: Have the Rising Costs of Fabulous Clothes Crunched Your Style? - 04/04/08 19:04 PM

I'm a college student, have always loved shopping, but never had a LOT of money to spend so I always have to deal with making a lot out of nothing. I used to spend a lot more time obsessing over items on eluxury.com but lower-cost fashion is so exciting and abundant these days that it honestly doesn't really matter. Plus, there's always sample sales to get your designer fix. Fabulous clothes don't have to be costly and your creativity and commitment to style really shows when you have to do it on a budget.
