(I spent 10 years as a fashion jewelry designer. I worked for a fashion house at the tender age of 19 in New York, in the mid 80’s… gosh that dates me a bit, doesn’t it?) </li> <li> My observations about what is happening in the fashion industry: What I see coming down the pike for next season and what trends are capturing a wide audience (for better or for worse) </li> <li> Items I love or lust after for the season and collections I love etc. </li> <li> People I love in the fashion industry… just because I think it is so nice to meet real people in this business and talking about wonderful people feels good. </li> <li> Finally, I might write about my experiences of becoming a CEO for an internet start-up… (we’ll see). </li> </ol> Let me first say that I don’t personally dress in cutting edge fashion. I like to stay up to date but I hesitate to wear things that : <ol type='A'> <li> Don’t look good on me </li> <li> Don’t look good on anyone </li> <li> Are too youthful for my age (40) </li> <li> Make me look like I am trying too hard </li> </ol> Also, I want to note that I am into small boutique brands. This is where you will find information on the cool, cutting edge, "in the know" brands. I am going to start light and easy….Here are some things I have personally bought this season and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
