Heather’s life is filled with worldwide adventures as she continues to passionately explore life through travel, culture and design. While traveling to countries including Brazil, Kenya, Japan, Egypt and India, to name a few, she focuses on the way in people throughout the world adorn their bodies for cultural, religious and practical purposes. Her fascination with the way people honor their cultural traditions with jewelry developed into an opportunity for Heather to support native communities in sustaining their cultural continuum while contributing to the contemporary adornment culture of the world.
Gold, sterling silver, vermeil and stones comprise many of the ingredients that she uses in her jewelry. Using a variety of traditional gold and metal smiting techniques, Heathers designs are unique, symbolic, timely, graceful organic and elegant.
Out of Heather’s love of cultural diversity, travel and commitment to community development, she has partnered with and outstanding production facility in Bali, Indonesia, which share in her vision. Employees are given fare wages, women are hired at all levels of management and local communities are supported through development programs.
