Q: What inspires you to design?
A: My daughter Blair, of course.

Q: What one word best describes your designs?
A: How about two words- functional fashion!

Q: If you were to dress one person, who would that be?
A: Kate Winslet, because I think she personifies the modern contemporary woman & mother of today.

Q: Who is your favorite new designer, besides your own collection?
A: Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, he is a genius.

Q: What bag do you lust for this season?
A: My Blair bag in stargazer suede with patent trim, covers all of the trends!

Q: What charitable cause is most important to you?
A: Any cause that benefits children.

Q: What did you do before you became a designer?
A: Before the inception of nan handbags I was the Senior Designer/Merchant for bebe's leather and outerwear category.

Q: What is your secret indulgence (fashion or otherwise)?
A: Jo Malone candles and fly fishing.

Nancy Nodelman began her career in the leather industry over twenty years ago at North Beach Leather in the heyday of celebrity glamour. From Merchandise Director at North Beach Leather, she went onto bebe, overseeing design and production of their hugely successful leather and outerwear apparel categories.
Deciding to simplify her life and spend more time with her daughter, Nancy launched her nan handbag line in 2004. Each style is named after her daughter, Blair and friends and has been featured on Daily Candy, SF Social, The Tip Jar, San Francisco Magazine, California Apparel News and Lucky Magazine!
Her Fall 2007 collection captures this season's essential shapes in envelope clutches, satchels and oversized bags. Shine, texture and contrast trims play a prominent role in her choice of rich glazed and metallic lambskin, luxurious suede and glossy patent leather.Her handbags are constructed of the highest quality in this season's eye catching colors or red, teal, plum, and gunmetal metallic.
The nan handbag line is inspired by functional every day, chic shapes focusing on seasonal key colors and leather trends that include sturdy cotton contrast linings with oversized hand held phone holders and multi interior pockets for total versatility and wear ability.
Favored by fashionistas Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Tori Spelling, Misha Barton, Maria Menounos and Lindsay Lohan, nan handbags are on everyones "must have list"! Haylie and Hillary Duff own the Blair, Hayley and Santina bags while Tori scooped the Olivia bag!
