Q: What inspires you to design?
A: History. Traditional folkloric prints and garments of different cultures.

Q: What one word best describes your designs?
A: Bohemian chic...Different, very exciting, colorful and fun!

Q: If you were to dress one person, who would that be?
A: Mischa Barton because she reflects Taka's vision and she already is great client. I would love to have Kate Moss wearing Taka.

Q: Who is your favorite new designer, besides your own collection?
A: Manolo Blahnik, I am crazy for shoes....Hussein Chakayan for clothes, I love his architectural creativity in his designs...

Q: What bag do you lust for this season?
A: Hermes/Birkin

Q: What charitable cause is most important to you?
A: I just want to do very basic stuff this year make a habit of paying casual visits to the Orphan house weekly and just make them happy...

Q: What did you do before you became a designer?
A: design....

Q: What is your secret indulgence (fashion or otherwise)?
A: My 2 year old son is my happiness and my reason for living!
