brandhabit's interview with
Claudia Ciuti

Always an imaginative sketcher, Claudia was fascinated by the world of style. Coming from a family that has for decades produced shoes for various labels, it was inevitable that she would find herself involved in the creation of footwear. It was not a surprise when at 19 Claudia enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design in Florence and started working in her father's factory. She spent time there learning the value of high quality, craftsmanship and the importance of searching for and using the finest materials.

She began traveling to the fashion capitals of the world to open new markets and new customers. Thanks to the experienced marketing management of Roberto Angiolucci, who later became her husband, the like was placed in the best stores in Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, and the Far East. By the time her line was established in Asia, Claudia and Roberto started working on their biggest challenge: the American market.

After numerous seasons of hotel fairs in the United States, Claudia and Roberto decided to open a permanent showroom on the fashionable 57th St. in New York. In a relatively short period of time, given the originality and variety of styles and fabrications, the Claudia Ciuti line has reached substantial market recognition in the fashion footwear industry.
