About Nathalie Seaver...

Nathalie is a well-known women’s clothing designer specializing in classically inspired fashion with a French wink. Known for her singular details, fabrics and fit, she has a devoted following. Her Nathalie Seaver brand is currently sold in high-end specialty boutiques across the country, as well as her namesake store in the hot shopping mecca of West Third Street in Los Angeles.

Nathalie didn’t start out in the fashion business; before that she spent several years as a development and production executive in the film and television industries. While a "suit," she began designing her own clothes as a fix for ill-fitting clothes she never quite liked, and finally followed her muse and left the entertainment biz to launch her own label. Capitalizing on her flair for combining great fabrics, she produced a best-selling reversible skirt that cemented her reputation as the designer for the busy but style-conscious woman.

Growing up in Paris and New York City, Nathalie absorbed many design and cooking secrets from both cultures. Nathalie learned cooking first hand by apprenticing with her French-born mother, Jeannette Seaver, author of several successful cookbooks all of which Nathalie has illustrated. As a precocious 10-year old, Nathalie learned to use a sewing machine and staple and glue guns, redecorating her family's apartment and making her own clothes. In high school, when she couldn’t convince her parents to buy her a pair of clogs, Wood Shop proved to be the perfect lab to create a pair of her own design. From small acorns...

Nathalie currently lives in the Larchmont section of Los Angeles in the "House that Fabric Built" and still wields her staple and glue guns as well as the everpresent fine-line pens from which flow inspiration and fantastic clothing. She loves fine food and wine, cooking for friends, trips to Paris and zinging one down the line on the tennis court.

About the Store...

Nathalie opened her boutique on West Third Street in 1998. Reminiscent of the shops she loved in Paris, it's a cozy space that features her immaculately designed womens clothing and a myriad of items she's deemed treasures - personally selected gifts that are fun and funky or just plain fabulous. We think the Nathalie Seaver Boutique is a perfect antidote for mall shopping - a style haven that reflects an individual vision, not a corporate decision.
