brandhabit's interview with
Just Girls

Owner Nellie Spoerl conceived of the idea for Just Girls with her two teenage daughters in 2005. The three Spoerl girls saw a need in the Main Line for a boutique featuring young, hip, contemporary apparel at affordable prices. Moms and their daughters find everything they need from casual clothes for school to special occassions, such as proms, graduations, Bat Mitzvahs, and weddings.

“I really had fun designing this store with my daughters,” says Spoerl. “We used lots of hot pink and zebra prints. It’s in sharp contrast to the warm European feel of my other stores.”

Spoerl also owns the two Elizabeth Maar Boutiques, located next door to Just Girls and in Haverford. She has been in business for over 20 years, opening the first Elizabeth Maar Boutique with her own mother.

As predicted, many of the Elizabeth Maar customers venture through the archway into Just Girls to shop for themselves, as well as for their daughters!
