I basically started in the 70's working at a boutique in my hometown of New Castle, Pa. It was owned by 2 really cool guys that went on to manufacture clothing in Los Angeles. One of the owners very successfully launched the line Z. Cavaricci. I went on to work for that company in the wholesale end for several years. Fast forward 10 years, I am living in the suburbs and raising my children and I am dabbling in wholesale just helping out friends at their show, when I get this urge to go back into the business, only this time not in wholesale but in retail.
So you wonder where the name comes from, Suzie Creamcheese? Well, those same guys from New Castle used to take trips to Las Vegas. They were very generous and would bring my sister and I back clothes and shoes. One thing being this fabulous leather coat from a store called Suzie Creamcheese. How could I ever forget that name and how wonderful her clothes were and how I cherished that coat. Well, she was my inspiration and I do believe Frank Zappa was hers, he in fact coined the name. So here we are 2 years later and having a great time and hoping everyone loves the clothes we buy.
