Stalhi Orlando, FL

Many years ago I saw a bumper sticker that read “If the answer to a question is Florida, it must have been a stupid question.” In no way do I intend to offend readers from Florida or those with special sentiments attached to Florida, but goodness, that quote reverberates through my head when I hear even a mention of Florida. But when you think about it Florida has so many negatives; scary weather, scary tourist traps, scary voting results, scary sharks and scary alligators. Seriously Florida, what have you done for anyone lately?

Sweet Stalhi boutique is what they have done. Move over Mickey Mouse, Stalhi is Florida’s new, 2 years young, tourist destination. Never mind family road trips to see that big mouse (who has been wearing the same damn thing for how many seasons?!), this is a destination for serious shoppers. And if you have to pick up a Disney souvenir while you’re there, but don’t want to head over to an “amusement” park, Stalhi carries Disney CouturePhotobucket.

Though Stalhi supplies a wide array of labels traditionally geared towards the younger set, such as Disney Couture, Juicy, Ed Hardy and Lauren Conrad, Stalhi also has a heavy stock of sophisticated attire. Lacoste, Free People, French Connection, Nanette Lepore (need that strapless dress!) Photobucket, Sanctuary and Seychelles fill the racks of Stalhi.

The list of labels Stalhi carries is almost as dizzying as Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. But owners Gregg Hill and Stephanie Hite, both with merchandising, buying and designing experience manage to create a shopping experience as pleasant as the wind in the willows. The bright white store with green and pink accents has various themed sections. From Boho chic like Drew Barrymore to sophisticated Anne Hathaway, Stalhi’s got a theme for everyone. Photobucket Stylists and fashionistas to the core, the sales associates at Stalhi know who in the public eye is wearing what this season, last season and what they will be wearing next season. Celebrity style, sometimes fortunately sometimes not, sets the pace for the way average American women shop. Stalhi urges shoppers to become “famous for your style” whether you’re in the movies or just taking a detour on your way to the Universal Studios Theme Park.
