LunaBoston Boston, MA
Last night I somehow found myself at an English Beat concert. My friends wanted to see the opening band and after they rocked the house we decided to stay for the 80s ska band’s set. It turned out to be a pretty amazing dance party that we stumbled upon. Post dance-a-palooza one of my friends commended my dance abilities while wearing heels. Shrugging with a smile I accepted her compliment but explained that my fashion needs to be functional not uncomfortable. Most of my outfits go through a few dry runs in my room in front of my mirror with some music blasting. Movement is key!
Luna Boston on 205 Newbury Street in Boston has one of the best shoe selections I’ve seen in a while. It’s not the amount of shoes but the variety. Luna Boston prides itself in featuring designers and styles that won’t be seen on every other woman. How many women do you have to see wearing Coach flats before you want to gauge out your eyes with a rusty spoon?
I really want the Godfreddo Fantini open toe sandals in blue
. Not only will I be able to dance in them, but I’m pretty sure they’ll coordinate with the Matt & Nat shoulder tote that Luna Boston sells too
. Have you ever heard of these designers before? I hadn’t either until I stepped into Luna Boston (and because of that I have an unhealthy obsession with Matt & Nat currently). The boutique employs stellar buyers who venture into designer showrooms, scour street fairs and research independent labels in order to promote the most unique and distinctive styles.
Luna Boston carries popular designers like Cynthia Rowley, Tusk and Badgley Mischka, but set themselves apart from other boutiques in the tourist heavy Newbury section of Boston by carrying just accessories, bags and shoes and relying on the quality of their merchandise. The prince ranges are varied but the caliber and uniquness of the merchandise is second to none.
Just like my dance moves.
