Montmartre, 4 Locations in New York City

“And I can’t fight this feeling anymoreeeee,” croons REO Speedwagon. This song reminds me of a Theory jacket I recently tried on. The next line in the classic 80s song is “I’ve forgotten what I’ve been fighting for.” This does not remind me of the Theory pants I recently tried on. Believe me, I will continue fighting for these pants. And I think I’ve found just the place that will “bring this ship back into the shore.” My “ship” being the most adorable pair of cropped stretch knit black pants.

A few weeks ago I tried these Josan Stadium Lite by Theory Photobucket on at a department store and left without making the purchase because I was in a rush, per usual. I never should have turned my back on those pants because they’ve been haunting me every since I abandoned them.

Though it’s mid-March and I should be concerned with inundating my wardrobe with bright florals and the various shades of safari khakis that were runway hits for Spring 2008, I can’t help but assert that these Theory pants should be a staple in my wardrobe. Despite being emphatic about integrating color into my wardrobe I find black to be sleek, sexy and necessary.

And what better place to buy black than NYC? Being from the tri-state area myself I am fluent in all shades of black and the myriad ways of wearing black. Lucky for me NYC is home to four Montmartre boutiques! Just because there are four located in NYC does not mean it has a chain store feel. The Montmartre boutiques in NYC are not intimidating in size and have a staff of kind and knowledgeable staff. Each boutique has a team of in house stylists who are on hand to enhance your shopping experience. While boutique shopping usually affords customers stellar customer service, imagine having a stylist assist in your wardrobe acquisition? Customer service truly exists in this family of NYC boutiques which features a wide array of contemporary, classic, eclectic designers.

When I finally buy those Josan Stadium Lite cropped pants I will be sure to ask my stylist at Montmartre if I should choose a cropped L.A.M.B jacket or a Robert Rodriguez green bowneck Photobucket top is more appropriate. If they’re my kind of stylist, they’ll say both!
