I was on my feet all day in vintage boots. My cobbler (yes I have a cobbler and no my name is not Oliver Twist) recommended I put insoles in my shoes but I never have time to heed anyone’s advice. Pain is beauty. Or is it beauty is pain? Regardless, I looked good and now my feet hurt. I’m dying for Lalicious Sugar Scrub to massage the side affects of looking good. But does that mean I need to go all the way to 1410 Larmier Street in Denver to Loft 22?

Not that I should complain about making a trip to Loft 22. Hip, unique and eclectic are probably the best words to describe the refurbished loft. Though familiar designers and labels fill the racks, there are lesser known, yet completely noteworthy designers like Butterfly Dropout and Green Dragon. They even have that Laclicious Sugar Scrub my aches currently have a hankering for. . .

I wish all cities had a boutique like Loft 22 because it’s the perfect stepping stone into the boutique world for novice boutique shoppers. Brittin and Kristin Asbury, the sisters who opened the boutique in late 2006, simultaneously offer an unpretentious yet luxurious shopping experience. It’s hip and glamorous, yet bright, friendly and inviting. Though they sell French Connection, Level 99 and Antik denim they also sell BCBG Girls and Chinese Laundry. Just because Vera Wang isn’t hanging in their window display doesn’t mean this shop isn’t worthy of attention. I’d peruse that store all day, even in the most uncomfortable shoes I own, just because I love Loft22. . .and I’d definitely leave with Lalicious Sugar Scrub in hand (and some Level 99 Sailor Pants in the other).
